Registration for Operation Snowflake – for 7th and 8th Graders – will be in full swing starting on November 26th! Operation Snowflake will be held Saturday, January 26th, 2019! This is an all day event with music, dancing, socializing, skits and more! This is an extraordinary day! Make sure you don’t miss out! Information packets are available from your homeroom teacher, the front office or on the Parker website. There are only 100 places open for Parker, and they go quickly! Registration closes on Dec. 7th OR when the 100 places have been filled. Please read all information carefully regarding start time, end time and activities in-between to make sure you can commit to the day. Parker Spelling Bee participants: The date for the Spelling Bee test has changed from Thursday, November 29th to Friday, November 30th. You will receive a pass from your ELA teacher for your testing time. If you have any questions, please see Mrs. Roundtree in room 102 or Mrs. Washington in room 108.
We are still collecting food items to be donated for Thanksgiving baskets. Please turn those items in in the front hallway in the bins.
REMINDER! Butter Braid order pickup will take place on Monday, November 19th from 3:30 PM – 7:30 PM near the media center. All orders must be picked up at this time! The pastries need to be frozen and the PTO will not have space to store the pastries. An adult must pick up the items.
6th grade permission slips and money for The Nutcracker field trip are due today.
It's that time of year again for the annual Geography Bee! You will receive extra credit for your Social Studies class just for showing up and trying out. You must complete a permission slip in order to attend. You can get a permission slip from either your Social Studies teacher or from Mrs. L. Nicotra in Room 4.
Bump set spike – It’s time for volleyball. Volleyball tryouts are December 4,7, and 10th for 7th grade; December 6,7, and 10th for 8th grade. You must have an updated sports physical on file to try out. You can see Mr. Thompson in Rm 20 or Mr. Volkman in Rm 9 for a packet. Packets are also available in the main office. The Book Fair is here this week and during parent-teacher conferences next week! You can also order from our online book fair as well! This is a great way to meet new books, and maybe even purchase some gifts for friends and family!
Throughout the month of November Team BFF is accepting new members. We will meet 3:05-4:05 on Tuesdays until the end of April. If you would like to join, you will need to have a ride. If you need a bus, you should complete a permission slip in the office. We look forward to seeing you on Tuesdays.
